Teams and Costumes
Celebrate the arts! Run or walk in costume, form a team, or dance your way through the 5k! Let your creativity run wild! Prizes will be awarded for best individual costume and most creative team theme.
Whether you're a runner, a walker, an artist, an educator, a student or a parent, you can be a fundraiser, too! Visit our Run for the Arts contribution page to begin. Once there, click on "become a fundraiser" to set up your own personal page, with a photo, a personal fundraising goal, and the opportunity to track your progress and let people know how to sponsor you. You don't have to participate in the 5k to collect sponsorships, but running or walking for a cause is a great way to stay motivated and to inspire others!
Artists of all ages are invited to submit proposals to perform or install art at the event! We are especially looking for groups to perform along the route and in the park, visual and interactive art in the park, and creative awards to give to participants. Please read the participation guidelines and submit a proposal! Contact Stacey with questions.
Join us in support of arts education in Michigan schools! Help us put on this celebration with a sponsorship from your business or organization. Sponsors receive widespread recognition, and are also invited to become vendors at the event. Multiple levels of participation are available. (Arts education organizations receive a special offer!) Learn more!
Race-day volunteers will staff the water station, serve as course marshalls, help with registration and check-in, and much more. Anyone high school age or older is welcome. This is a great chance for school groups or scout troops to perform a service to the community! Read about the opportunities opportunities, then contact Stacey to become a volunteer.
Special thanks to Samantha Stover who is organizing over 40 members of Phi Sigma Sigma as race-day volunteers! Thanks for supporting arts education, ladies!
